Summer Ball

Summer ball provides top tier competition and training for the months of June and July. Teams are split by grade level with teams for K,1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 and High School. Due to an increase in number of players participating, summer of 2025 we will be adding a Kindergarten only group that is focused on learning the fundamentals of the game and just practicing. All gear is required by players (Helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, stick, mouthpiece and cleats). We provide a uniform kit including jersey, undershirt and shorts. All teams are coached by Hamburg Alumni that play currently at the college level (Division 1,2 and 3). Applying the tools they have learned through coming up in the program and helped guide them to the opportunity to continue to compete at the college level. There are three practices during the week (Mon, Weds 6-8 PM, Saturdays 10-12) at the Hamburg Nike Base fields, we focus heavily on increasing skill and game IQ.  Those skills are put to the test almost every weekend when playing quality competition at tournaments. All teams will be using the TeamSnap App for registration and communications.

The only fees in fall are for the youth (K12, 3/4, 5/6) 6v6 league and tournament fees if we have enough kids available to enter them! Free registration will be on Hamburglacrosse.com soon since it makes it easier to track rosters, etc. Payment would be needed in Separate registrations for the youth weds night 6v6 game league and tournaments.

Grade level based on whichever grade they will be starting this September!

FALL PRACTICE: At the Nike Base fields weather permitting, Starting Monday September 9th 6-730 PM. Following the 9th, practices will run all Mon/Weds nights for the duration of Sept/Oct. Practice time may be bumped up to 530 PM start later in fall when it gets dark out earlier. Practices will be for all age groups and will split into drills/groups based on age level. Fall ball typically focuses on individual skill and improvement a bit more.

K/1/2, 3/4, and 5/6 groups will practice Mon/Weds nights until the game league starts. Wednesday 6V6 games are played at Sahlen's Flash Fields between 530-730. More info to come on game league once received. The league is based on the Olympic lacrosse model of 5 field players, a goalie, and no face-offs after goals on a short field.  Olympic lacrosse is fast paced, a great workout, a lot of fun and a great way to improve one's lacrosse skills. Last year the league started September 13 but more info to come once received.

WEDS NIGHT GAME DAYS @ Sahlens Flash Fields (6831 Seneca Street, Elma, N.Y. 14059): Sept 11, 18, 25, Oct 2 & 9

We would like to invite you to play this fall in the Buffalo 6s fall league.  The league is based on the Olympic lacrosse model of 5 field players, a goalie, and no face-offs after goals on a short field.  Olympic lacrosse is fast paced, a great workout, a lot of fun and a great way to improve one's lacrosse skills. Buffalo6s will again take place Wednesday nights starting September 11 at the Sahlen's Flash Turf fields between 5:30 and 7:30.  The age groups are grade based and are 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6.

There are 2 points of emphasis when registering your child:

1 - When registering use Buff6sFall as the password

2 - To apply the 30% discount code use: Buff6s30 when checking out.

7/8 (Modified) and the High School group will practice all Mon/Weds nights from 6-730.

Fall Tournaments: I have listed youth tournaments available in the google form above and would register teams based on availability. Since fall availability can be limited due to many in other sports, players can possibly play up for the tournaments if available and interested to round out rosters. This should be communicated with coaches beforehand so no confusion.

For the 7/8 and High School Groups: Registration will be set soon for the below:

3Nations Lacrosse Classic (6V6) - Sunday, Oct. 6 back at the Sahlens Flash Fields in Elma, NY. **Can also enter the 5/6 team if enough available.**

Tully Cornfield Classic - Syracuse, NY - https://cornfieldclassiclacrosse.com/ - Typically first weekend of November.  - HS has always gone and would like to add 7/8 group this year. Can add youth groups based on google form.

Winter Ball

Winter ball prepares you for the school and spring box lacrosse season. Staying sharp in the winter is very important when it comes to being ready to go for spring lacrosse seasons when we are "in season." We have game leagues at the Sahlen's Facility in East Aurora with 5/6 and 7/8 groups on Weds nights and the HS group on Thursday nights. The 7/8 and HS groups will also have workouts once a week as we get closer to the spring that consist of either time in the weight room or in the gym for stick work. Registration is currently live, fees cover field time and ref fees.
